A study recently published in the Journal of the American Medial Association aimed to examine if a treatment combination of vitamin C, hydrocortisone, and thiamine would lead to a “rapid resolution of septic shock” compared to using only hydrocortisone.

The researchers conducted a randomized clinical trial amongst 216 participants, and compared the outcomes between those who received a combination of intravenous vitamin C, hydrocortisone, and thiamine compared to those who received only hydrocortisone.

The data, ultimately, did not revel a connection between the treatment combinations, thus no conclusions were able to be made on the original research question.
