Call for peer reviewers

Women’s Healthcare: A Clinical Journal for NPs, the official journal of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), invites you to become a peer reviewer. This peer-reviewed journal, published six times each year, focuses on clinical topics of interest and importance to nurse practitioners (NPs) and other advanced practice registered nurses who attend to women’s and gender-related healthcare needs. The journal is indexed in CINAHL.

We strive to identify and maintain a strong cadre of thoughtful and thorough reviewers who are willing to provide constructive critiques of submitted manuscripts. Diversity among our peer reviewers is important. Therefore, we are looking for reviewers who vary in terms of their role (academic or clinical practice), years of experience, areas of expertise, and populations served.

As a peer reviewer, you can take satisfaction in knowing that you are contributing to the advanced practice registered nurse profession by supporting the publication of high-quality, relevant, evidence-based articles that help your colleagues provide the best possible care for their patients.

Peer reviewers must be current members of NPWH. The following forms are offered to NPs who wish to serve as peer reviewers: Peer Reviewer Application Form; Peer Reviewer Role, Qualifications, and Responsibilities. If you have questions, please contact Editor in Chief Beth Kelsey, EdD, APRN, WHNP-BC, FAANP, at bkelsey@npwomenshealthcare.com.
