Menopause and sleep

Data shows that sleep disturbances increase in prevalence during the menopausal transition, with the most common complaint being nighttime awakenings (Shaver et al, 2015).

How many of your peri- and menopausal patients ask you about sleep disturbances?
Do you proactively inquire about sleep quality as part of your well-woman checkup of climacteric patients?
Would you find recent relevant clinical information and practical patient education tools about sleep issues beneficial for you and your menopausal patients?
