Dr. Amy Levi is the Albers Endowed Professor of Midwifery at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing, where she is currently the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. She has been a midwifery educator since 1991 and has been a midwifery program director at the University of Vermont and the University of California San Francisco. Her research interests are related to sexual and reproductive health, with an emphasis on midwifery scope of practice and management of unintended pregnancy. She has published and presented nationally on topics related to sexual and reproductive health.
Dr. Levi is Chair of the American College of Nurse Midwives Caucus for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Abortion. She is an inducted Fellow of both the American College of Nurse Midwives and the American Association of Nurses.
