Paul Quinn NPWH Editorial Advisory Board Member

Dr. Paul Quinn is a certified nurse midwife with over 30 years of clinical expertise caring for women in diverse settings. He is currently a bedside clinician in the Emergency Department at The Valley Hospital Ridgewood, New Jersey, and earned a PhD in nursing from the City University of New York and an advanced certificate in nurse midwifery from the State University of New York at Downstate. He has published and presented internationally on women’s health issues in nursing research, nursing for women’s health, and nursing economic$. He is the author of four books: Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Your Questions Answered; Birth Control: Your Questions Answered; Teen Pregnancy; and Prenatal Possibilities: Recipes for a Healthy Pregnancy and Beyond. Dr. Quinn has a special interest in nursing research. His areas of scholarship include nurses’ workplace and nursing workforce issues and cardiac and critical care issues in women’s health and obstetrics. His passion is to mentor nurses through the research and publication process.
