Dr. Eva Fried is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and certified nurse-midwife. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies and a master’s degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Wright State University and a post-graduate certificate in nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She is currently the Clinical Director for the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse-Midwifery programs at Frontier Nursing University and is in clinical practice with University Hospitals in Northeast Ohio. Her professional interests include menopause and health equity. Dr. Fried served on the committee that created the American College of Nurse-Midwives 2022 Addressing Racism and Advancing Equity in Midwifery Education: A Program Content Toolkit for Action and was co-presenter at a national workshop on the use of the toolkit.

Eva Fried is a reviewer for the Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health as well as chairperson of the Publications Committee of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
